My friends and I are going to Sicily on 19 October, and Mount Etna is at the top of our list of places to visit. However, I don't know how to get there. Do you know of an inexpensive taxi service from Catania to Etna? If anyone has travelled this route before, how much did the trip cost?

Which places would you like to visit in Sicily? I have been to Sicily many times and can recommend the places I liked the most. I booked a private transfer Sicily from Catania to Etna for €50 per hour on the GetTransfer website. Local taxi drivers are expensive there, especially if they realise you're a tourist. You could take a taxi for €70 one way, but I think it's better value to pay by the hour and spend time walking on the slopes of Etna. We were very lucky with our driver he was like a guide, telling us about the history and life of the locals, and recommending places to eat the best pizza in Catania.
