MagicPicker 2.2 86: A Powerful Color Wheel for Photoshop and Illustrator

MagicPicker 2.2 86: A Powerful Color Wheel for Photoshop and Illustrator

MagicPicker is a plugin that adds a color wheel to Photoshop and Illustrator, allowing you to pick colors faster and more accurately. It has many features that make it a must-have tool for digital artists, such as:

magicpicker 2.2 86

  • K-Lock: This feature lets you keep the same black ink level of your CMYK color while making it darker or lighter (or changing saturation)[^1^]. This is useful for printing and color matching.

  • Realtime Color Preview: This feature shows you the color you picked from the screen next to your current color in MagicPicker[^1^]. You can use Photoshop's Eyedropper or Alt-click with other tools to activate this feature. This is helpful for comparing colors and picking harmonious shades.

  • Munsell Color Wheel: This feature switches the color wheel to the Munsell system, which is based on human perception of colors[^1^]. It has extended ranges of red, blue and yellow, and can display Munsell values on the bottom of the wheel. You can also paste Munsell data into the color wheel using the new Color from Clipboard feature[^1^].

  • Color History Slider: This feature shows you a scalable, selectable and scrollable history of your recent colors[^1^]. You can use it with any combination of sliders, and it preserves your colors between sessions.

  • Value Inputs: This feature allows you to enter values directly in the sliders for any color mode, such as HSB, HSL, Lab, Lch, CMYK, Color Temperature, Gradient, CIE L*u*v*, Grayscale and RGB[^1^]. You can hide or show them with a button.

  • Paste Colors from Clipboard: This feature lets you paste any text that contains color information into MagicPicker, and it will convert it to a Photoshop foreground/background color[^1^]. You can paste RGB, Hex, HSL, CMYK, colors by name (such as "Green" or "Electric violet"), Munsell values (such as "2.5YR 6.0/6.0"), and more. You can also set up a keyboard shortcut for this feature in Settings.

  • Change Vector Opacity: This feature works in Illustrator and Photoshop vectors, allowing you to change the opacity of your vector shapes[^1^].

  • (Semi-)Transparent HUD Mode: This feature lets you pop up MagicPicker anywhere on the screen under your cursor, and change its opacity and blur effect[^1^]. You can also activate the PRO Mode to only have the round color wheel visible on the screen.

MagicPicker 2.2 86 is compatible with Photoshop CC CS6 CS5 CS4 CS3 and Illustrator CC CS6 CS5 CS4 CS3[^1^]. It is available for Windows and Mac OS X[^2^]. You can download it from Anastasiy's website for $19 USD[^1^]. If you are looking for a professional color wheel plugin for Photoshop and Illustrator, MagicPicker 2.2 86 is a great choice.
